Volcanoes National Park

This morning we headed back out to Volcanoes National Park to do the “Chain of Craters” driving tour. At the end of the road is Holei Sea Arch. And looking the other way is the scene you see here. Spectacular views!

As you can imagine we spent a good part of the day here.

But since we are only on the Big Island a limited number days we had to move on!

From the park we headed north towards Hilo stopping at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut plantation along the way. Of course, we had to get our free samples! Yummm!

Once we got into Hilo we drove to the Wailoa River State Park. This park is located right in downtown Hilo and was very beautiful. We even saw more sea turtles there.

After that is was back to our B&B for our final night here.
