Sitting Pretty

I wandered round the garden in the blazing sunshine looking for a blip and getting hotter by the second when this little beauty settled right in front of me, job done and relief that I could retreat back into the house :-)) I think it is a female common blue and despite it's name it is neither common (around here and especially in the garden) or blue, unless it opens it's wings, which it refused to do. I would have like to have got a shot of the wings open as it reveals a gorgeous blue but I think the closed wing version is still lovely to see and I really hoping it visits again so that I can catch it with it's wings open.......watch this space :-))))
