Day 5 Castle, Annecy, Mountains and a bee sting

Market day in Annecy! An early breakfast of bacon sandwiches fortified us for a long morning ambling around the stalls, looking at the cheese and other provender. We bought some dried, sweetened papaya and apple and some plums. A wander around the incongruous displays of the Chateau musee (fish, birds, archaeology and some modern art installations)!) left us hungry - so we followed our noses to a purveyor of fine croc monsieurs and a quinoa/celeriac salad. Then a drive and a forest walk along the Semnoz ridge ... and Cret de Chatillon 1700 meters - just a little walk to the peak and we were presented with views as far as Mont Blanc. And La Tournette which Tom wants to climb ...
