Day 4 Chateau et Gorges

So today didn't look too promising having pelted down with rain all night but after an earlyish stroll to the boulangerie in Doussard to buy croissants, things seemed to be looking up. So we drove to Montottier Castle and walked around and up the tower - the views were fabulous! The collections of artefacts were ... odd (not that wonderful!) then down the hill to the Gorges du Fier which were quite amazing - noisy, cavernous and damp (and quite busy). We drove back along the other side of Lake Annecy and went on a rather damp, muddy walk that was cut short by a golf course and impending rain! Hey ho! A pretty good day!!
