Now off into the fog

Yesterday was beautiful blue..today the fog rolled in as we set off for the infamous Cape Scott. We met a lovely couple who have been living on and off this boat for the last 13 years, sailing around the world. Mike and I were so nervous to do this trip on our own as we knew we'd be out of cell phone range most of the time and frankly weren't sure we'd had enough experience to tackle it. The owners of this boat had both had their share of health problems and had decided long ago that they could either move to a town with a hospital close by and wait for the next problem or live life to the fullest and see the world! They were so inspiring and encouraging that we took off into the fog after the last point of no return and never looked back. Thank you Bill and Lyn :)
