Love Potion #9

SO. Lone Star- the American/Texas-style restaurant in Takapuna is what we got our GroupOn/Grabone vouchers for. We paid $20 each for $40 vouchers, it was Cohan's idea and I thought it was nice he arranged the dinner for us. When we got there I asked, "Are you sure all 4 of us can use these?" and he showed how it said "1 valid per customer"

I'll let you know now that yeah we should have asked the server if we could all use one.

But we're just a bunch of kids at a nice restaurant ordering $40 worth of food. I got a $29 dollar chicken breast stuffed with spinach, cheese and sun-dried tomato topped with a mushroom gravy sauce served with fries and cole slaw. Then I ordered the drink special- "Love Potion #9" I ordered it because 9 is my lucky number and I wondered why they chose it.

It contained tequila, whiskey, vodka and a double shot of espresso. It was hot and topped with whipped cream. I enjoyed it for the most part because I love the taste of espresso but it got real tough towards the bottom. Anyway, it was $12 so that would leave me with a $1 bill. And they don't tip at restaurants here so that would of been it.

But nope, we got up to pay and it turned out to be 1 per table. Should have seen that coming. So we split the bill with one coupon off but I didn't even end up getting my full $10 off cause I got the least amount of food. Some serious bullsh*t.

But I really liked the nightlife in Takapuna. Couldn't let myself spend anymore money at the bars after that Love Potion #9 but it was still a lot of fun.
