Eid Mubarak

Arif was looking cheery today, as he celebrated the fact that Ramadan is over. He runs the Halal food store next door, and for the last month he's been fasting from dawn to dusk, while continuing to serve customers. The chill cabinet with soft drinks is directly opposite where he stands at the till, and even though Scotland's weather is hardly searingly hot, our daylight hours are long at this time of year. I'd have resorted to hiding sneaky cans of Irn-Bru and packets of halal certified Coco Pops under the counter.
