The Edinburgh Military Tattoo

The stands are being readied for the annual onslaught of over 200,000 people who'll watch the tattoo this year. It's on every evening and twice on Saturdays throughout August, much to the distress of those local residents who are not fans of the bagpipes.

Mind you, you'd not be high on my sympathy list if you paid upwards of a million quid for a snazzy flat in the shadow of Edinburgh castle, and then complained that the noise in August was ruining your beauty sleep.
