The bride (Melissa) pictured, specially requested to be featured in my blip for today. Sorry it's not a great picture- doesn't capture just how beautiful she looked- but it was taken at 1.15am (so technically Sunday I suppose) after a lot of dancing. Ivy looks spectacularly confussed. I'm pretty sure she thought she was having very strange dreams.
Wedding was near Perth, and we thought we were going to miss the ceromony because of me accidentally having google maps sent us to an 'estate agent' instead of an 'estate' and an unsuccesful search in Perth for a sunhat for Ivy (we recently lost my favourite of her hats, I left it outside the cheilidh place and when I went back for it it wasn't there. Someone must have taken it with them- I guess it was super pretty). When we arrived at the venue, the heavens opened on us- Ivy and I hung out under an umbrella (which we had bought to function as a sun parasol having been unable to get a sunhat)- It was lovely being under an umbrella with her- she was so impressed with the rain storm and kept giggling and sticking her hand out. She had so much fun I didn't mind being wet.
We trailed round the estate in teh rain unsuccesfully trying to find the wedding party, bumped into someone officially who took us to where the reception was going to be- where eventually everyone else appeared and the ceromony took place. Ivy was mostly good- altough she tried to sing along with the flute solo and discovered she could pull chunks out of the walls.
Wedding was lovely- food was lovely- company was lovely. Had a great time. Ivy slept in the half buckle wrap- on my back for some of it- I was particuraly proud of how high I managed to tie her. Even did some cheilidh dancing with her tied on there.
I don't know what got most compliment: the wrap, her ear defenders, or her big huge eyes.
