Village fete
Today my lace group (North Downs Lacemakers) had been invited to demonstrate at Dogmersfield Village Fete. Dogmersfield, in Hampshire, is a lovely and picturesque village and today was its 61st Fete.
Early arrive to set up and pin lace to the display boards, break for lunch then a meander around the stalls before the public arrive for 2pm.
It is a very organised event, marque tents are erected ready (there is a "craft tent" that we are situated in), with the large marque tent displaying the competition entries and, after judging has been done rosettes are placed by each item.
This blip shows 3 entries to the competitions, the cup of flowers and the onions won prizes.
Beautiful sunny day (too hot really, especially in a marque with no breeze). Good company and an extra special surprise my cousin (Sue2014bs) turned up with her partner and dog Terry, lovely.
Knackered Exhausted now, home with feet up.
