School's Out
My time at Plumstead Manor has come to an end! Today I said my goodbyes to people became my family over the last 5 months! These gorgeous people are proof that saying 'yes' to scary opportunities is absolutely worth it. If I had not jumped on a plane 6 months ago and travelled to the other side of the planet for my first teaching experience they would all still be strangers to me.
I had a great morning watching The Lego Movie with one of my favourite classes and was feeling good until a few of them started giving me hugs on their way out and I realised I probably wouldn't make it through the rest of the day without some tears! This theory was proven correct when I received a goodbye present and lovely card from the Science team! So we had a big group hug and continued on with he rest of the day.
After a whole school assembly I was summoned to the reception desk where I received a delivery of lots of amazing chocolates and sweets from my amazing Damian along with a note congratulating me on finishing my first term of teaching. It was a perfect reminder after an emotional morning of goodbyes of how happy I am to be headed home.
The rest of my day involved drinking at the pub then venturing to The Clapham Grand to dance the night away with Shelby, Katelynn and Ryan. It was a night full of dance battles and laughter and an awesome way to celebrate the beginning of our holidays.
Tomorrow, Amsterdam!!
