I love you eel

Marley proclaimed this to the eel swimming by as we fed the ducks today at the botanic gardens. He's a funny one, i'm not sure why hes taken with eels so much but not too long ago he wrote a story at school that said ' i like to catch eels because my dad loves eels'. None of that is true.

As more eels turned up for a bready feast, mar was nearly leaping in the water just to feed them. About 5 big eels in total came along and gobbled up all the bread Marley was throwing in. I had pictured in my head when we came here that there would be a mass of ducks on the bank for Harper to walk around and laugh at- but no, the ducks weren't too bothered today, just the eels.

On the way in to the gardens there is a statue of James Edward Fitzgerald outside the hospital, to which Marley said as he attempted to read the plaque ' that statue man says no giving dirty things to ducks' . Right well fair enough i guess but i don't think that's what it says. As we entered the park there is another statue of a man; William sefton Moorhouse, sitting down. Apparently that plaque is the man saying 'no getting shoes wet' and it was so hard not to laugh because actually he could be saying that, he looks like a dad saying something along those lines here is a pic of him.

We had a great time at the park and the weather was superb for playing though they didn't seem that keen to be in the playground. We walked home in the sunshine, through town which is a mass of empty plots and fences surrounding piles of rubble or some new construction sites.

We had a bit of lunch and another coffee before giving the house a clean.

Marley's friend came around to play and they had a great time today, they played so well together both captured by the water table, imagining it to be a castle with a moat. Instead of crocodiles or sharks in the water protecting the castle there were police cars and trucks patrolling the channels with a duck, hippopotamus, frog, whale and octopus (Harpers bath toys).

After the castle was safe from the dragon they moved on to being Jedi's, shutting the door in Marleys room with their light sabers giggling away like little girls. Marley was generous when his friend left to let him borrow his lego movie key ring torch Emmett.

Was a lovely relaxing day and so great to see the sun!
