bee fashionable...

...and wear your fur coat

even if it is - the hottest day - of the year - so far outside - that didn't stop - this little one - from sitting straight up - and showing off that pretty furry body - isn't that the funniest thing ever? i've never seen such a thing - of course, i'm sort of making it up - because i don't think bees really "sit" per se - yet it does kind of appear - that - that's what she's doing - just to show off - and believe you me - it was indeed hot - hot - hot - outside today - i think we're in a heat wave - but on the flowering bush i was spying on - there didn't seem to be the same - amount of bees there normally are this time of year - it seems the numbers are dwindling - this concerns me

i even saw a story on the news - the other day - about hives being affected - it made me sad - that the natural course of pollination - is being hurt - because of what - we humans may be doing in our need to gather - or grow food - how we're going about it - the impact it is then having upon - our little friends - we need to be careful - so that the natural course of events - is still around - to pass down to the coming generations - so they - too, can enjoy what we have had for ourselves - the culmination of many...
