Water Barrel Fun

L has a great way to capture good rain water for the many plants and growing articles in our garden - including, by the way, some very healthy looking cucumber plants at the back. Obviously plants like rainwater, and when we had some great oodles of rain a few weeks back, the big green barrel was full to overflowing. Unfortunately, the black plastic stand, MADE FOR the barrel, crumpled under the 'excessive' weight of the barrel and fell over and spilt its content load all over the patio! Woe and disappointment. Yours truly came up with the solution - 3 $1.48 bricks from the local Do It Yourself store - now we are ready for the next great downpour, confident of zero spillage and happy plants!
