One of the boys

This is Hector, one of our (That is CoffeePotter and me) two Bedlington terriers. The tight rein is because I'm pulling him and he doesn't want to go.

They both went for a walk early this morning and then I went to work. On my return home we went out again, I thought that they would want to go as by now it had cooled down a lot.

We walk from our house, down the land beside it and into the meadow where the pair give every tussock, wooden post, tree, large weed or some grass chosen at random a thorough sniffing to see who had passed recently, so getting to the small river beach a distance of no more the one hundred metres takes for ever.

They went for a paddle and instead of continuing into a wooded area Hector put his foot down, so to say, Ziggy though wanted to continue, so one lead was stretched out behind and the other in front, an impasse.

Hector is bigger and won, we almost ran home.
