Mr Horsey
Jess and I both had a lie in today. It's a day off for the pub as it is a public holiday because of the queens birthday! We are planning our escape route out of here already. Nobody had spoken to us about what we could do on our day off. When we went downstairs they had looked up the pub so we couldn't actually get in which made us annoyed as we couldn't get water bottles. We managed to eventually find the keys and got in luckily. We made a coffee and had some cookies from the jar. We have no idea what we are allowed to eat and what we can't as we haven't been told. We went for a wander down the road. There is nothing in spring ridge so exploring isn't much of an option! However we did find a deserted little park and sat in there planning our great escape.
We made sweet chilli tenders with chips. All the food here is frozen which I would not want to eat for 3 months. It's probably been sitting in the freezer for 50 years. When we went outside to eat Michelle and her husband were outside with the ute. They didn't even say hello which was bloody odd! We even told them we had just made our lunch and we were going to sit around the flight. Basically just got a death stare....probably lucky we were sitting out at the front so if people did eventually drive past they would see us! When we went back in we out the clean things away and Michelle past a dirty spoon to Jess that we had forgot to clean whilst saying nothing with another horrible look. She then rumbled on complaining and swearing!! So we went upstairs and planned our escape route more. We thought about Jack dropping us off at the station or driving all the way to Newcastle. Jack is a farming boy who is 20. We were scared he would say no and then tell Michelle. Then Michelle would come and shoot us, haha. Made up so many plans to get out of there.
Jack took us to his little cottage. Such a scruffy little farming cottage. Chatted there for half an hour before heading back to the pub. He tried to run over kangaroos on the way, both Jess and I were screaming at him!
Nobody back at the pub. We had a dodgy frozen pie for supper with mash and frozen vegetables! Ate in the kitchen before heading up and planning once again! Had so many different ways of getting out. We decided that hitch hiking wasn't going to be the best idea. In the end we booked a taxi for 6am in the morning. We asked him to pick us up at the postbox just incase he knew Michelle and then rang Michelle to say that the 2 backpackers were leaving!! Both so nervous for tomorrow.
Spoke to the Sayers during the day and they were lovely saying they would drive down to get us. They have booked a flight for me tomorrow from newcastle to Brisbane.
Told mother about it all. Charged up my phone on the other side of my room and I got the biggest frights as my phone kept blinging. My light kept flickering aswell!
