SOOO many lovely gifts!

I am quite taken aback!!
Well yet again it doesn't seem like I should be saying goodbye to this class - Surely I haven't had them long enough?!!
It's been a very hard year in a number of respects but I had a number of parents thanking me so much because their kid had enjoyed their year so much, and I had so many children expressing the same to me- one skipped out happily at the end of the day then came running back crying just to say Thankyou to me - that I feel that I must have done an 'ok' job! .... and that is what it's about!
I love those kids!!

I had one very special visit from a young lady leaving yr6 and her mom at the end of the day to give me a gift and thank me for the difference I'd made! (I may blip her gifts later!) - That is what this job is about! Not the targets and assessing or even the teaching of academics ... But being there as a friend and an advocate and hopefully making life that little bit better!

Well, it's bed time now... And the holidays tomorrow! :)
