at home with an Ivysaurus

Wee!

This is Ivy playing in a hammock made of woven wrap material under our dining room table (over a crash mat). She had a GREAT time- she kept jumping out for Euan to catch her! next time we're tying it slightly closer to the ground. I got the material with the ultimate plan of converting it into a half buckle carrier and doing cool dying on it- but Ivy loves it so much as a hammock, I might end up having to learn how to wrap and keep it as is (with hems obviously)

In the afternoon we went to the bouncy castle in the sports center. Euan came for a bit to see before going to school to do pre-term prep. A little girl arrived and threw herself about on the bouncy castle and Ivy was incredibly impressed. She gave the girl a kiss to show how impressed she was.

Then Ivy and I went on a local history walk of Ullapool that was very informative. Ivy slept on my back for most of it- she had a sun hat on, but I was worried her feet would burn since it was so sunny today. My arms seem to have provided her with enough shade though.

After we persauded Laura to come meet us for a beer (and bring money for said beer), tried to get hold of Euan to invite him but he wasn't in school anymore and had his phone off. Sat outside the cheilidh place- ivy escaped her high chair by standing up and wigglling out of the strap, so got put on the ground instead where she kept escaping into the reception of the chielidh place to (presumably) book herself a room- at least that stopped her clapping her hands to ask for Shandy and making me look like a terrible mother.

Laura came for dinner, and games afterwards. Altough it took a long time to get Ivy to bed- stupid teeth.

We ate from the garden again today. Lunch was spring rolls made with springonion, mangtout, lettuce, coriander & french beans (all grown from seed) and dinner was narstutium pesto washed down with garden mint mojitos. I love being able to pick food from the garden.
