Matsuri Daaaaaaa!

It was our local festival today in Chigasaki, the hamaorisai.

People carry portable shrines from the other side of the city while shouting, drinking and generally jostling the shrine up and down. They carry them through the night and into the sea at around sunrise.

I took too many photographs. I can't process them all.
