New species?

Found "growing" in a tub in the garage at my parents house... is this some new, as yet un-discovered breed of plant? What kind of fertiliser makes it grow? Does it need sunshine... or to be kept in the shade with lots of rain? Or is it somehow connected with the event that passed their house yesterday?
