Prospect House, Dungeness

Derek Jarman was an English film director who made this famous garden on the shingle shore near Dungeness nuclear power station. The garden design style is postmodern and highly context-sensitive - a complete rejection of modernist design theory...apparently !

Wet very misty day but we had the best Fish & Chip lunch in The Britannia Inn just up the road from here.

Drove up the coast to Dymchurch, St Mary's Bay, Lydd on Sea then back to The Old Lighthouse at Dungeness & this place, then Camber Sands & Rye. All nice but all wet ! I must go back to Dungeness before we go home as it is a graveyard of old fishing boats & black sheds....

A beautiful barn own just flew low & slow past my chair how wonderful.
