It's been a while. Indeed the 'breadboard' this circuit is being constructed on is 30 years old - oh dear, that's scary. I suspect some of my eclectic collection of components are even older.

This is prototyping a speed controller for a loco I'm converting for the new owners of the FWR.

If in doubt, use a 555.

Hot again today and missing the forecast heavy rain. Mind you I got drizzled on a bit cycling into town for a haircut. Town was heaving with morasses of guided tourists. Won't miss that when we move.
