It always puzzles us why The Orchard tea rooms, a veritable open air restaurant, shuts down for what could easily be a hugely profitable time; early evening on a sunny day.

Even given the obvious shutness, people were still arriving trying to get in.

Struck me as ironic that a place steeped in English literary history has big signs in the car park headlined, not merely NOTICE, but CUSTOMER INFORMATION NOTICE.

Surely they should have done it properly and written SIGN CONTAINING CUSTOMER INFORMATION NOTICE.

Seriously hot afternoon and evening, the morning cool wet and miserable and I had wondered whether shorts were really such a Good Idea.
