Tram Sunday

Fleetwood has been hosting a Festival of Transport, or Tram Sunday since 1985. It attracted 40,000 today to cram the streets of the town to see all kinds of classic vehicles:

cars
motor cycles
buses
scooters
boats
and - er - hippos.

Even more interesting to me were the people. In addition to the chap in the blip - a proud motor cycle owner - were a cheerful clown, a costumed tram conductress, a Manchester United and Portugal footballer, a group of young gymnasts and scarecrows mingling with the general public.

Well done Fleetwood for organising a splendid, quirky day.
