Playing with Lenses

I arrived home about 1 pmish and the cats were all happy to see me so I gave them a little fuss.

I have been reading a book called "The Busy Girl's Guide to Photography" which is pretty good. I was reading about metering. The author was explaining the difference in spot/ centered and evaluative metering and said to play about with a backlit subject to see the difference. I tried in the garden but I really cannot tell the difference. I think I need to try a different type of backlight and subject.

Instead I gave up with that and found some garden spiders and a macro lens.

I was expecting rain this afternoon however as it is still dry I am wondering if I should get my groove on and get out for a ride on the bike.......
