The Ship Inn, Low Newton-by-the-sea

Today we went to the beach at Low Newton. We arrived just as it was starting to rain - and when i popped int to he out to see if we and to book a table for lunch I was enticed by the hot cups of coffee they were serving. I convinced everyone to have an early lunch - and was very pleased we had as it then tipped it down for about a hour. Luckily once i'd drunk my coffee it was still raining so i had to have a wee beer too. The crab stottie's at the ship Inn are delicious! The stottie is a bit out of focus, but i love the wee chat that Alasdair and Duncan are having in the background so had to choose this photo for today. I suspect the chat had something along the lines of "who will you be in star wars meets lego movie, Dad?"
We then walked along the national trust path to the bird hide to spot lots of different ducks and birds, before heading on to the beach to make a race track. I was a bit gutted that Calum can now beat me in a running race - think i'll have to up my training...
