A day at the beach next to Dunstanburgh Castle

We had a lovely cycle from the campsite to the beach next to Dunstanburgh Castle. We followed a path from the campsite through the woods - it was a bit to knarley rooted for us to cycle so we abandoned it by cutting across a field and on to the road. There was much excitement when we had to pull over as a combine harvester and attractor with the blades on a trailer when past. And we were very intrigued by the patterns the planes were making in the sky over the castle. The boys really enjoyed cycling to the beach, and we were rewarded by a fantastic ice-cream before going on the gorgeous beach.
