PLAYING WITH THE CAMERA

It was very hot in the night and I think I stayed out in the sun too long yesterday, so I woke just after 4 a.m. feeling a little fragile. I can never resist looking out at the pier and the sea even in the middle of the night, so opened the door wide. It looked very beautiful and calm - so I decided to take a few photographs (as blippers do!)

I have been watching some videos on Youtube about how to use my particular Canon, and the man is always talking about doing things "outside of the box" so I decided to use some of the skills I had learned to do that.

I rather liked the way the light sparkled on the water, but the photograph I took looked rather boring, so I changed the settings and then moved the camera a little to see what happened - and this is it!

I know it's not a perfect photograph, but it's creative and it's fun, and that's what my photography and blip journal is all about.

Happy Sunday, fellow blippers.

“The creation of something new
is not accomplished by the intellect
but by the play instinct
acting from inner necessity.
The creative mind plays
with the objects it loves.”
