Blue Lake - Clearwater

Drove to Clearwater today on a lovely, warm and sunny day. Clearwater is the " gateway" to the Wells Gray Provincial Park and we spent most if the day seeing the sights that were close to the road. Saw 3 absolutely spectacular waterfalls : Spahat Falls, Dawson Falls and the best of the lot Helmcken Falls. We also drove up to the Green Mountain Tower and enjoyed a spectacular view of Trophy Mountain and Battle Mountain which are covered in snow, and walked to a mountain Lake - Foot Lake. Gorgeous big country with a real wilderness feel. Staying tonight at the Alpine Village Resort about 30 mins out of Clearwater. Saw a bear and 2 cubs on the drive just as we're beginning to worry we'd never find the place. Not to worry - found it eventually and we are staying in a luxurious log cabin. Very Alpine !
