McGillivary Lake

Our Day in Sun Peaks - very much an out of season ski resort .Did a 8 mile trail walk to McGillivary lake this morning. Didn't meet a soul and got a feel for how wild and remote the countryside is around here. Saw some evidence of bears - there are plenty around I believe - but thankfully didn't meet one. Great network of Nordic Ski trails here ( which we used to get to the Lake ) and suspect this place is buzzing in the winter. Not at the moment though - very much an off season feel to the place.
