Off on a Search Mission
18.0C starting dull, becoming bright in the afternoon then clouding over in the early evening. Light breeze.
Apothecary7's day off. We went to M&S at City Quay for coffee then bought some groceries. We went back home via Broughty Ferry. We had a walk round with Maeve the Deerhound and I popped into a charity shop for a book to read. Rebus, book 5.
On the way back to the car we saw a number of people waiting near the lifeboat station. Then we saw the lifeboat cast off and race away towards the open sea. I later found out that it was joining a helicopter in a search for a missing person.
After lunch we had a visit from CannyScot, his wife EleanorRuth, and two of their grandchildren. We enjoyed a good blether and took them all for a walk round one of Maeve's favourite walks up to the church and down the field with the bridle path to the shore. Apothecary7 was even persuaded to be in a photo for blip :-)
Later there was more watching of the Open golf from Royal Liverpool. If the weather doesn't intervene too much tomorrow it should be a good final two days.
