Yet another lily
I bought this lily some years back from the online Europa Nursery, which seems to have now disappeared. Pity - they had some pretty unusual bulbs. Lilium wenshanense was only identified in 1990 and is named after the Wenshan district of Yunnan, in China, where it originates.
I've not risked it outside yet but will hand pollinate it this year to try to get some seed. It's certainly a flamboyant lily and has a lovely perfume. The trumpets are longer than this picture shows - you can see another picture here.
