San Francisco Diner
I continue my tour of eating establishments, this time in San Francisco. I tell you - maybe I should be a restaurant critic or a 'secret shopper'!
I visited a nearby 'up-market' diner called Toast. I liked the look of it, and I know it's popular. I think I kind of prefer the more old-fashioned diner, a little rough around the edges and much lower prices too.
The food was good - I had my favourite Huevos Rancheros - but the portion size was way too small and it came with a strange red cabbage slaw. Not unpleasant but I'd much prefer the more traditional rice. I was still hungry when I left and yet my wallet was empty.
