The Clan, Scotland's Cycle Stunt Team

The last day at Kirkcudbright Country Fair. It is a lovely little fair with lots going on and a very reasonable admission charge. I really don't know how the people of Kircudbright manage it.

Having shown the main attractions over my last couple of blips I really had to include this for today. I have no idea what the trick is called I was too busy getting the camera focussed and ready to be listening. The corner showing above the trees at the right is a 12 foot high platform used in some of the other stunts. This gives you an idea of how high the rider is above ground. Later he turned a somersault of this ramp still on the bike but I didn't catch that one well.

Clan are a stunt team based in Edinburgh, now in their seventh season having done over 1000 shows. If you ever get the chance to watch them they are spectacular and must have nerves of steel and/or no imagination what so ever. Imagining what could happen if anything went wrong certainly frightened me.

I should point out that the blue streamer showing behind the rider is infacy a huge kite in the field beyond the marquee in the background.
