Balanced

Two enjoyable days in the Lake District. We stayed at The Samling, between Bowness and Ambleside. You know a hotel is posh when its residents' guidebook contains the coordinates for a helipad. We arrived by car.

We were joined by friends Amanda and Doug, visiting from the USA. We all made a valiant attempt on the world record for wine-consumption last night before, during and after a wonderful meal. Despite this we had the strength to climb Red Screes today, which is where this shot was taken of Amanda, an apple and me. Don't ask.
