Parakeets in London

Terrible photograph, I know, but praise is surely deserved for a high speed shot taken on an iPhone whilst a parrot whizzes past! You can just about see him in the top left corner, that luminous green blur is of his wings sweeping him through the air.

This is one of the beautiful vivid green parakeets that have taken up residence in an area near the canal and Elthorne Rough.
They are such a vibrant group of birds not least because of their striking plumage, but they chatter and call and chirrup to each other and make such a happy sound it is lovely to stand by and watch them flock in the tree tops for a good gossip!

This was another walk home through the park and meadows and it is fast becoming a part of my day I look forward to when I finish work.

Today I am grateful for a catch up with the family on Skype when I got home.
