Flew from Heathrow to Sofia (Bulgaria for those who get Eastern Europe confused) and then met and a longish drive to Bansko, a ski resort in the Pirin mountains to the south. The new ski developments are not pretty but the view of the roofs of the old town from our hotel window were. We had excellent accommodation - a sitting room and balcony as well as bedroom and bathroom. There was time to unpack before an excellent, but too large, meal and a brief walk before bed.
