Fluffy!

Went climbing with Tim as usual this morning - had a good climb, despite still not feeling great. Absolutely knackered when we got back, so didn't do a lot else until after dinner, when we went for a nice little walk in the beautiful evening light. Of course, we had to go back to the pond on the heath and see the little ducklings again. Sadly, there were now only three of them (there were four a couple of days ago), but the remaining three were looking very healthy - whizzing about all over the place, and sifting about for food in the water.

Is it just me, or does it seem rather late in the year to be seeing such new ducklings?
