Scarecrow

Today we had a ride over to Trawden to visit the Garden & Scarecrow festival.

This was recommended to us by fellow blipper HappyJacqui, who blipped from there yesterday. In fact, one of the first gardens we saw was the one that featured in her blip.
I told the lady who about her 'famous' garden and she was thrilled that she'd been featured on t'internet!

We had a good walk through the village, although initially we felt obtrusive wandering into people's gardens, but they were all really lovely people and happy to chat.

One guy had been selling cuttings of his plants and said he'd been unable to keep up with demand!

We had a spot of lunch at the Trawden Arms before catching the bus to see the gardens from the top deck.

As well as competing for various awards for their gardens, there was also a scarecrow competition.
Sadly, I was too late to enter (despite my hair being styled to perfection by my crash helmet).

For those who don't know (or can't tell), I'm the one on the left
