Mombretia Memories

Mum and Dad grew Mombretia in every garden of the five houses they lived in at various times throughout their married life and Dad brought cuttings to this home when he moved from Wembley to Chelmsford to be my brother's neighbour in 2011. So many childhood memories of this glorious favourite flower that has finally started to bloom in his garden.

Jean went home tonight, so glad to have had her company for the last three days. We had spent the afternoon at the hospital with Dad. Gareth (bro) came for dinner and we watched Holland v Brazil together.
