The Ants are Flying

It has been one of those days when the lawned areas of the garden almost heave with ants, all trying to fly away to establish new colonies. There were millions of them and all at the same time...incredible really.

Did a spot of gardening today & cleared the new bed of Love in the mist seed heads etc . It looks tidy but bare. We need a drop of rain the garden is so dry !

Watched some of the Tour de France this pm & now C is going around the garden with her snippers.....

Hot hot hot thundery day - looking like rain now (1900hrs)

Saw a Spitfire fly over with a Hurricane but alas the camera wasn't where I was....
