"Super" Full Buck Moon

July is known as the "Buck Moon" according to the Native Americans, because this is the month that the bucks grow new antlers. It's also called the "Thunder Moon"
But, this month, the moon is also a "super moon", meaning it's the closest point to Earth in its orbit, therefore giving it a super big appearance.

Tonight I missed the moon rising, but decided to take this pic anyway. Technically, it won't be full until tomorrow. I will get up early to catch it setting, hopefully in a good location!
It is so bright and beautiful tonight, no matter what it's called!
Hope you get a chance to see it!
