Pond life!

I was at my favorite pond again this morning, taking photos of the osprey and the blue heron. Both nests have babies and there was much activity.
While I was standing on the edge of the pond, watching, I heard the reeds moving, and this lovely family of wood ducks appeared! I have never seen baby wood ducks (don't know the formal name, woodlets? :))
I enjoyed watching the mother, giving commands to her young. There is always one in the family that doesn't listen. The one on the end kept going off on its own, only to be scolded by it's mother!
