Like nowhere else I've ever been...
The German underground war tunnels, St Peter.
Built by foreign prisoners between 1940-44, this sombre network of tunnels delves deep into the Jersey hillside. Never completed, the facilities inside were used for a variety of functions during the days of the occupation, including as a hospital.
Nowadays the tunnels function as an outstanding museum detailing life during the German occupation of the Island. A very interesting place to visit.
