A third day walking the Jurassic Coastline in Devon along to Budleigh Salterton, residence of Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies author Hillary Mantel. No sign of oor Hills in town but we did meet Frank in a pub, in his dotage but doted on by the bar-staff and other regulars. He flew 38 sorties over Germany during the War after all.
And so to the image. A thistle among the golden grains swaying in the wind. A Scotsman among the Elysian Fields of England. Perfect weather, perfect company. Knowledge, nonsense and knee-ache. Now getting my dinner cooked for me.
