My Time Abroad

July 6th was here! I had said that date aloud for so long to all who asked when my date of departure was. I was running on 50 minutes of sleep on July 6th, 2014 because I saved all my packing for the late evening of July 5th, 2014.

I lucked out and got a window seat with no one next to me on my flight to LA. Took me a while to find Eddy in the airport then a while to find Allie outside the airport. The three of us got In-N-Out Burger (animal style) then we picked up Blythe at her cousins in Marina Del Ray. (< Please read in the voice of the Californians)

It was really good to see my sister and her (now) fiancé even just for a few hours. I remember how much I love LA every time I return. The beach was the most awesome thing to do before a 13 hour flight, the ocean was the perfect temperature and stress-reliever. I managed to get some color and Blythe got super burnt.

Our luggage barely fit in Allie's car and we all ended up getting nailed with baggage fees. But, the airline got Blythe, Eddy and I seats next to each other and I was astonished of how close we actually were to each other. I thought these long flights gave you bigger seats but apparently that was not the case!

We took off at 10:30 pm (1:30 eastern standard time) and I was still running on those 50 minutes of sleep.
