Coney Island? Really?

'Where's the real world?' asked Doreen.

'It's just up the hill there', says Betty, 'behind the big, pig ugly, expensive, soul sucking Coney Island arcade'.




Opendoor made me go on the skying machine. I held in the tears but a brisk walk along the beach back in Robin Hoods Bay, massive waves and new fossil finds made me forget all about the trip down the coast.




In other news, we took a thank you pressie to the 'ipod Samaritan'. He came to the door dressed in a pink cowboy hat, very short shorts, an orange vest and pink moon boots. Pip and Erin (being almost teenagers) just about managed to keep it together and not giggle until they were safely back in our cottage. Personally I think he's pretty damn cool.
