Three flights, one coach but no luck

Three flights today to get to this week's conference, which is in Italy. However the real story of the day is that every flight was delayed due to faults with it.

The first flight to Gatwick was delayed due to engine problems. The flight to Rome had a long delay due to having a puncture and the third flight to Ancona was delayed while they changed planes due to another technical fault.

This blip is of a bridge at Gatwick which I took from the plane as we finally got moving. I have no idea what it connects.

Addendum: the final leg to where I'm going is by coach. We left the airport, drove for 20 minutes then turned round and went back to the airport as three people had been left behind. The reason they hadn't got on the coach was that they were in the baggage hall finding out that Alitalia had lost their luggage.

I just hope we get to the hotel without further mishap.
