What a difference a day makes....
After yesterday's wet half hour, today was gorgeous and so far there's been no rain. My blip was taken during a spare five minutes before my head shrink session from the car as I was parked up next to a gorgeous buddleia tree, full of Small Tortoiseshell butterflies. The camera has a 'vibrant' setting and this is what I used. It was great to spend even a short time just watching these beautiful creatures and this pretty tree.
I am behind at work after my day out yesterday and I didn't manage to catch up much today despite my best intentions and getting my head down all morning. I escaped at 1.45pm, rather later than I hoped, and drove straight to the pool. I did another half mile (hurrah!) before a rather hot and sticky change back into clothes. They always overheat those places and the ventilation is terrible. Still, it's a very nice pool and I felt ace during and afterwards and continue to be really pleased by my new found enjoyment of some form of sport and proud of my efforts.
The head shrink session was fine. Very positive but also discussing some specific areas for me to work on over the coming weeks. After a quick dash to buy some new shoes and some swimwear for my upcoming holiday, I'm home and feeling zonked so I will be having yet another quiet night in.
