St Mary's Astbury

Another phone shot.

I traveled to Astbury today to speak at a Yr6 School Leavers Service. The church was a bit hidden and I didn't have a wide angle lens to be the other side of the trees and still get the whole church.

The church is a Grade 1 listed building. The present ground plan dates from the 13th/14th centuries and there was a major rebuild in the 15th century. The tower is separate from the main body of the church and is joined to it by a passageway.
